Description

Simplified Single Source Justification The Department of Defense education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Lego Education, 917 E. Jefferson, Pittsburg KS 66762-6012Inc., circumstances permitting other than full and open competition, for Lego Mindstorm NXT Robotic kits. The kits are compatible with the software and interface equipment currently being used in the DoDEA classroom. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement by the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement is being solicited in accordance with FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. See attached Simplified Single Source Justification for a description of the requirement. Response Date: 1:00 p.m. EST, 18 August 2009.
