Description
SF 30 incorporating amendment #1 & 2 Additional Information and Clarifications to Answers previously provided Solicitation HU0001-09-T-0340 Amendment Number #2 Dated and Posted 10 August 2009 <ins datetime="2009-06-11T14:20" cite="mailto:dolores%20may"> </ins> Q: Is BUY AMERICA a requirement? A: As stated in the solicitation, the clauses 252.225-7002 (Qualifying Country Sources as Subcontractors) and 252.225-7036 (Buy American-Free Trade Agreement-Balance of Payments Program) apply and must be completed by offeror. What is the BSL-2 Compliant mean? As stated in the solicitation "BSL-2 compliant" refers to the environment in which the Personal Protective Equipment will be used. It does not require any special certification, but the equipment must be able to perform/protect in an environment described as Biosafety Level 2. Biosafety Level 2 is suitable for work involving agents of moderate potential hazard to personnel and the environment. It differs from BSL-1 in that (1) laboratory personnel have specific training in handling pathogenic agents and are directed by competent scientists; (2) access to the laboratory is limited when work is being conducted; (3) extreme precautions are taken with contaminated sharp items; and (4) certain procedures in which infectious aerosols or splashes may be created are conducted in biological safety cabinets or other physical containment equipment. As a result of this amendment, the quote packages will be due on 14 August 2009 at 12:00 PM EST. As previously stated, the Quote packages (including samples) shall be accepted by mail only with a confirming quote emailed to me. Both (mail package and email) must be submitted by the due date. No other method of submission will be accepted. Quotes with samples are due 14 August 2009 at 12:00 PM EST. Quote packages (including all samples) should be mailed to: USUHS Attn: Genelle Germana 4301 Jones Bridge Road, A1040C Bethesda, MD 20814 Confirming quotes must be submitted via email ( ggermana@usuhs.mil ).
