- The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for a laser. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13.5, As supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1TBB9198A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334515 with a size standard of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This is a full and open requirement. The technical requirements on the item are as follows: The IPG ELR-10-1550-SF is a single frequency, continuous wave 1550nm, 10 watt laser. It has four output fibers and a narrow 20kHz line width. Its main function will be for photonic Doppler velocimeter (PDV) operations where velocity data will be captured up to 10km/s. The very high power is necessary so that the PDV can capture enough reflected light to deduce the velocity in a multipoint configuration. Furthermore, the laser is equipped with a BNC connector for TTL modulation. Price to include shipping.
