Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested, and a sperate written solicitation will not be issued. Price(s) should be FOB Destination (Robins AFB GA 31098) In addition to price and delivery, quote should include you cage code, DUNS number and taxpayer ID number. I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/GENERAL INFORMATION. a) The contractor shall provide all materials, tools, equipment, labor, dumpsters, forklifts, trailers and services to disassemble two exterior static rack ranges on the existing pallet rack system and disassemble and dispose of the Spacesaver Storage System in building 963, room 101 at Robins Air Base, GA. The existing storage system is being modified to make room for new requirements. The contractor shall modify the Pallet Rack Storage System in building 963, Room 127. Modification includes: • Remove one stationary row of shelving from each side of the system. • Re-anchor the remaining exterior stationary rows of shelving IAW with Mfg/DOD specifications. 1b) The contractor shall disassemble two (2) KARDEX Lektreivers in bldg 300, bay G, move them to bldg 309 and reassemble them to mfg specifications. 1.1 The contractor shall dispose of disassembled materials IAW with instructions provided by DRMO. The contractor shall transport disassembled materials to DRMO for disposal. 1.2 Contractor shall be on-site no later than 15 days after award to start identified actions. All actions will be completed within 30 calendar days after starting identified actions. 1.3 The contractor shall coordinate work date and time with 5 CBCSS/SCS, SMSgt Bush at 926-5997. 2. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED SERVICES 2.1 The government shall: *The government will offer a site visit to all interested parties on 7 Aug 2009 at 10:00 am. All personnel will be met at the Base Visitor's Center located at Gate 3. Government Transportation will be provided to the location and back. Provide on-base storage location for contractor equipment. • Ensure all electrical/utilities are disconnected and marked prior to contractor starting any work. • Replace/repair any damage to surrounding wall and floors at no cost to the contractor, except in the case of clear negligence on the part of the contractor. 3. OTHER INFORMATION 3.1 Environmental Management Training. Any contractor employee working on Robins AFB, GA will require EMS training. Training will be provided by the 78 Civil Engineering Group Environmental Management Division.
