- The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be: 14Aug2009 The approximate response date of the solicitation will be: 14Sep2009 Solicitation: SPRTA1-09-Q-0547 PR: FD2030-09-81871 AMC: 3P Item: 0001 Nomenclature: Amplifier-Modulator NSN: 5820-01-071-2815 IM P/N: 131160-101 Description: The radio receiver-transmitter detects and decodes weak interrogations at one frequency and generates high power replies at another frequency. Approximate Dimensions: 12.00" Length x 8.00" Width x 3.00" Height, 2.00lb Weight. Predominant material of manufacture: Various metallic and composite materials of electrical components and assembly/mounting hardware. Quantity: 1 EA Application: AN/TRN-41 Destination: FMS COUNTRIES. Required Delivery: 1 EA On or Before 31 March 2010 History: Last buy was awarded 28 January 2002 to Moog Aircraft Group, Salt Lake Operations for 1 EA at 40,922.21/Unit. Written response is required Anticipated Award Date: 23OCT2009 Duration of Contract Period: ONE YEAR Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Currently MOOG INC. is the only approved source. Non-approved sources wishing to submit a bid may do so, however, only qualified sources will be considered for award. First Articles may be required from newly approved sources. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
