QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 2 Amendment: Extension of due date by one day due to additional posting of questions. Body of Synopsis/Solicitation to be entered. 1. Hangar Door Repair, DUE 13 August 2009, noon Pacific Standard Time (EST). Point of Contact: SrA Victoria Torres, Contract Specialist, victoria.torres@travis.af.mil; SSgt Elizabeth Squires, Contracting Officer, elizabeth.squires@travis.af.mil 2. This solicitation has been set aside 100% for a small business; all responsible sources may submit a proposal (see Numbered Note 1). 3. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. 4. This announcement constitutes as the written solicitation; quotes are being requested. 5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33 and Defense Acquisition Circular 20080303. 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290 and the business size standard is $14,000,000.00. 7. FAR 52.216-1 applies. The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed price service contract from this solicitation. 8. Contract Line Item 0001: Inspect and Repair Hangar Doors. Line Item includes the following: Remove existing top fiberglass light panels; Remove interior door sheeting; Remove existing vertical seals and retainers, clean out tracks, rollers, and guides; Adjust door rollers; Furnish and install new Neoprene vertical floor seals (may reuse existing seal retainers): Re-attach loose exterior sheeting (replace damaged exterior sheeting). Contract Line Item 0002: Insulation. Line Item includes the following: Install new R-11 fiberglass insulation between interior and exterior door panels; Install new corrugated sheeting on door interior. Contract Line Item 0003: Light Panels. Line Item includes the following: Install new fiberglass light filters. 9. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (June 2008).The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items. Addendum to Paragraph (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
