Description
This requirement, previously synposized, is still in the final acquisition planning and higher headquarters approval stages. No firm solicitation date is available, although 30-60 days from this date is a reasonable estimate. In preparation for the solicitation and source selection process we intend to create a website as a repository for all available historical usage information, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and other applicable documents. In the meantime, as a first step to creating a better shared understanding of how the SECREP Logistics Integrator (i.e. the contractor) interfaces with the Government personnel, the following link will take you to the Supply Management Center Quality Instruction (QI) entitled: Commercial Logistics Integrator Support Services for SECREPS. This document defines, describes and diagrams the Government roles and actions in operating this program, and shows where the contractor (often referred to as the Integrator) fits in. Be aware that because this is a Performance Based Service Acquisition any references to the contractor's internal processes are unintentional, as the forthcoming Performance Work Statement (PWS) will specify primarily the "form, fit and function" the contractor must provide and the contractor's method of meeting the requirements will not be prescribed by the Government. There is other information at this website that may be of value to you in understanding the program, so instead of linking directly to the QI, go to http://www.logcom.usmc.mil/smc/secrepmaint/ then select the "Logistics Integration Support (LIS) and Maintenance Information" button, then the "LIS Processes" button.
