Description
Question 15: I see that the bid/proposals are due to your office on August 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM. This is a Saturday, is this due date correct? Government Response: 22 Aug 09 is the correct date for the Bid Opening. Contractor can submit their Bids earlier then 22 Aug 09 at 11:00am. Note: The 37th Contracting Squadron works on Saturdays during the months of August and September; supporting the End of the Fiscal Year - 2009 requirements. Question 16: UVDI, UVDI-SS, & General Electric - Can these UV lights be used instead of the ones specified? Government Response: No particular UV light bulb manufacturer was specified. The requirements for the UV bulbs are to (1) meet the performance minimums listed in the SOW and (2) for the lights to be non-proprietary (standardized bases, tubes, lengths, etc.) and able to be purchased from commercial off-the-shelf third-party vendors. Please refer to Paragraph 4.5 of the Statement of Work. Question 17: Are McQuay, Trane, & Thermal Engineering Corp the only make/models that can be used for the project? Government Response: The makes listed are for the existing air handlers in the facilities. These are the units to be retrofit with a UV system inside the air handlers. They are not required UV system manufacturers. The air handler make/model information was supplied to assist the UV contractor determine the physical dimensions of their UV system. * REMINDER: IAW SF 1442, Block #10, Last note - As of 12 Aug 09, No further questions will be accepted and/or responded to for subject project.
