- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to make a sole source award to Wells Capital Management, One Hundred Heritage Reserve, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. PBGC requires Wells Capital Management to continue providing services, managing one of the investment accounts in the Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Retirement Plan, which holds large cap growth equities. Wells Capital management is an institutional asset management firm that has been in business since 1996. The continued management of these assets by Wells Capital Management would be prudent until the assets can be transitioned to a new large cap growth equity manager. Wells Capital Management will provide investment management services for approximately a six (6) month period. These investment services will consist of managing domestic equity assets for PBGCs investment management program. The contractor shall maintain close contact with PBGC Corporate Investment Department (CID) and will serve as a resource of economic and investment information and research. This is not a request for proposals; however, an interested party may e-mail a written capability statement with sufficient experience for these required services, which shall not exceed three (3) pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statements, and qualifications for the provision of this service, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to Miller.Mark@pbgc.gov no later than 3:00 PM EDT on August 14, 2009. This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Intent. No solicitation will be issued.
