This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice has been issued to survey the market to identify possible sources for consideration. The Coast Guard is looking for sources/vendors capable of providing repair, modification, overhaul, and support for the following items: MAIN ROTOR BLADES 366A11-0010-07 366A11-0010-06 366A11-0010-05 366A11-0010-04 366A11-0010-03 366A11-0010-02 366A11-0010-00 MAIN ROTOR BLADE TIP CAPS 366A11-5030-0351 366A11-5030-02 The vendor must be the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or an OEM approved source for the items listed above. The vendor shall maintain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or Department of Defense (DOD) certification for repair, modification, and overhaul of the items listed above. The vendor must have access to required maintenance, repair, overhaul manuals and modification specifications and performance/test/acceptance criteria and data to ensure that the components are repaired, overhauled, modified, calibrated and operating in accordance with OEM's current specifications and procedures as approved by the Coast Guard. If your company meets the requirements listed above, please respond to the following questions: (1) Is your business a large or small business? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emergent business, or a small, disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified "hub zone" firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned? (7) Are your services listed on a GSA schedule? After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the FEDBIZOPS. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. Again, this is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. All companies that can meet the specification are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company literature, brochures, or any other information that demonstrates that the specification can be met. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than August 20, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. EST.
