Description
This ammendment is to remove the following statement which is no longer a requirement: "Possibly including oral history interviews enumerated appendix index National Register of Historic Places nomination and development of a historical context for a proposed historic district." The National Park Service, through the Midwest Regional Office, requires the performance of research and writing of a Historic Resource Study for Scotts Bluff National Monument, Nebraska. The project will help complete basic historical documentation of the park's story and resources. The information contained in the historic resource study is essential for present and future interpretation and resource management. This history study is a complete comprehensive synthesis for primary and secondary source material that is pertinent specifically to Scotts Bluff National Monument. It represents the first historic resource study prepared for this national park. The study shall conform to professional standards regarding methodology of historical research and writing. Stylistic, bibliographical, and report production standards shall conform to the current edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. The historic resource study shall be completed in September 30, 2011. Scotts Bluff National Monument continues to evaluate and assess all significant cultural resources in the areas of history, historic architecture, historic landscapes, archeology, museum/curatorial services, and ethnography, cultural anthropology. The HRS will provide a historical overview that identifies and evaluates the park's cultural resources within historic contexts. The study shall use current scholarship and other available cultural resources information to develop a synthesis for placing the history of Scotts Bluff National Monument within broader local, regional, and national contexts. The HRS will include a cultural resources base map (or maps). This will be an evaluated procurement with 100 points possible and all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The magnitude of this project is between $25000 and $100,000. NAICS Code is 541990, PSC: B521. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This solicitation will be available ONLY!! At the DOI Website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) O/A August 13, 2009 and unless amendments are issued extending the solicitation, the offers are due in this office on August 24, 2009 at 12:00 PM MT. Questions in regards to this solicitation will only be accepted if submitted by email and not later than August 18, 2009 at 12:00 PM MT. Any questions received by any other correspondence OTHER THAN EMAIL or after August 18, 2009 at 12:00 PM MT will not be considered.
