Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. Presolicitation Notice W9124A-09-R-0007 16 June 2009 Direct 8(a) Award THIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The Information Technology, E-Commerce, and Commercial Contracting Center, Directorate of Contracting, Operations Branch, Fort Huachuca, Arizona will issue a Request for Proposal for the conversion of evaporative cooling to a new air conditioning unit in building 70525, Thunder Mountain Activity Center, at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This requirement is a total Small Business 8(a) direct award in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(b)(4) for a Construction contract to Marsh Development, Inc. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and equipment to complete conversion of evaporative cooling to new air conditioning unit. The building is to have insulation as indicated by drawings. Duct and controls will be required and installed per drawings. Electrical work will be required as indicated by drawings. The facility will be occupied and stay open for business throughout construction, and at times will have 100-200 guests for meals and functions. This project has a complete and detailed set of drawings and statement of work. This is not a solicitation for a Requirements Contract. The magnitude with a period of performance for 140 days is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238990- All Other Specialty Contractors. Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government contract award. To register, access the CCR Internet address at: http://www.ccr.gov.
