- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W58RGZ09R0589. Question The RFI and government provided data referenced several documents: Intermediated Maintenance Manual, Depot Maintenance Manual, and SC5180-99-BB07. Please provide these documents. Question In order to fully respond to the governments request, it is requested that the T700 Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) and a list and/or description of depot tooling, equipment, Test measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE), and similar information for the T700 be provided. Further it is requested the Corpus Christie Army Depot (CCAD) engine component/part repair and component/part inspection, a description of CCAD test cell compatibility with dual-channel FADEC controls, and the size/weight/dimensions & description of T700 shipping containers be provided. Response No additional information will be provided. The T700 technical manual library is not needed in order to comply with the RFI W58RGZ-09-R-0589. The technical manuals have a restricted distribution statement which precludes providing them. Question Please define the scope of what is requested by the term -recurring costs- in the RFI. Response Recurring cost is a regular cost incurred repeatedly, or for each item produced or each service performed. Non-recurring cost is a cost that occurs at the beginning of procurement, but not on a repeated basis. Question Please clarify the scope of response the government is requesting to items 1.1.2 Supply and 1.1.3 Facilities and Facility Equipment in the Integrated Logistics Support section of the Proposed Concept file provided by the government. Response Paragraphs 1.1.2 Supply and 1.1.3 Facilities and Facility Equipment are generic in nature and intended to provide the greatest latitude in establishing supply and facility aspects of the program. Question Please clarify the scope of response the government is requesting for RFI Section 3.4 Trade Studies. Response - 3.4 Trade Studies. Recommend and provide rationale for potential trade studies that offer approaches that would reduce total program risk, cost and/or schedule. Include cost and schedule impact of various acquisition strategies., The Trade Studies section requests information that provides a basis for making trade studies to reduce program risk, cost and/or schedule. The section -AATE Funding Estimates- provides a definition of considered strategies and the Excel spreadsheet -AATE schedule cost- provides a format that allows comparison of various strategies upon contractor submittal of the cost and schedule data. Other information that the contractor considers pertinent is welcome. Question Please clarify the scope of response the Government is requesting for RFI Section 3.5 Alternative Solutions. Response - 3.5 Alternative Solutions. An alternative solution is defined as a solution not expected to meet all requirements as specified throughout this RFI, but significantly reduces the overall program cost. Supporting rationale should be provided with any alternative solution. Each detailed description shall also include the estimated savings associated with the concept. Alternative solutions should clearly define which requirements are not met. If an alternative solution is recommended, clearly identify the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) description and paragraph. The Alternative Solution section requests information on possible program and/or requirements changes that might enable a reduction in program cost and/or schedule. It is important that the cost/schedule impact, and the supporting rationale for that estimated impact, is included with any suggested alternate solution.
