- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), Office of Contracts (CON) located in Washington, DC has a requirement, subject to the availability of funding, for a contractor to provide studio set fabrication services. The primary objective of this contract is to provide Voice of America (VOA) with quality products and services in all television studio set design and fabrication. The goal of VOA is to substantially improve both the quality of and customer satisfaction in the products and services delivered. The objectives related to meeting these goals are to: A. Improve sharing, teaming, and use of common processes. B. Create a shared pool of resources and expertise. C. Enhance commonality in approaches to product and service delivery including standards, tool sets, guidelines, training, and consultation. D. Leverage efficiencies in service delivery and contract management identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement. E. Provide greater accountability and consistent support for end-to-end product and service delivery. F. Partner with our customer community through a well-structured customer service approach. The Contractor shall have in-house resources available to work with set designers and set fabricators approved by BBG/VOA to perform hands-on construction and fabrication skills, creative design, and industry specific business knowledge. The Contractor shall demonstrate established past and current broadcast quality television experience and staff who specifically design broadcast quality television sets for diverse cultures and fabricate broadcast quality television sets for industry and Government. Solicitation No. 081709WG is issued as a Request For Quotes (RFQ) and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price purchase order under simplified acquisition procedures. This is a total small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541310 and the small business size standard is $4.5M. No Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) rating assigned. Quotes shall be in writing and must be signed by an official authorized to bind the organization. Oral quotes will not be accepted. Questions must be submitted in writing to the Contract Specialist at the email address or facsimile number provided at the end of this notice. Please note that the deadline for submission of questions by 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time on August 21, 2009. Questions must be submitted in writing by email to: wgreene@bbg.gov. Quotes shall be submitted as an original and two copies must be sent via courier or overnight delivery prior to the deadline.
