Description
Excel Spreadsheet Attachment The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the DoD Medical School and Health Sciences University in Bethesda, MD intends to procure, on a competitive basis, a radiation telescoping detector that allows a user to measure a radiation dose from a distance of up to 12 feet away from a radiation source. This notice serves as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the procedures in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-36. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) and a small business size standard of 500 employees. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to check FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation. Evaluation Factors : The government will award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to this solicitation; will be most advantageous to the government. The requirement for this system includes but is not limited to the following: •1) Telescoping Detector (QTY 5) •2) Aluminum Case (QTY 4) •3) Check Source (QTY 1) •4) Check Source Holder (QTY 1) Please note the Telescoping Detector must detect beta, gamma, and X-radiations; it must be auto-ranging; have measurement data storage features and be water resistant. The telescoping detector will aid in NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) compliance with ALARA (as low as (is) reasonably achievable) for dose reduction. The unit is used to measure dose rates upon opening the reactor exposure room doors and for surveying irradiated materials that come out of the reactor exposure rooms. In addition, a telescoping detector that has the ability to serial transfer data is preferred. Award will be made on a best value determination considering technical and price. The contractor shall provide pricing for the items and technical information showing these items meet the technical capabilities identified above within the attached excel spreadsheet. Quoted prices are to include all applicable shipping charges. Please complete the spreadsheet with your quoted price and submit spreadsheet as part of your quote. Delivery will be coordinated with our end-user; and the items must be delivered within two weeks of issuance of the purchase order. (d) Comptroller General Examination of Record.
