Description

This is the Sole Source Justification for the purchasex This is an End of Year requirement and is currently subject to the availability of funds. Luke AFB proposes to award a sole-source contract to General Dynamics, C4 Systems for the following items in support of the 56 Communications Squadron, Luke AFB, AZ: Qty 4, CM-300 UT, UHF 10 Watt Transmitter Assembly, NSN 5895-01-505-7139, General Dynamics P/N 01-P40400G001; Qty 4, CM-300 UR, UHF Receiver Assembly, NSN 5840-01-505-7137, General Dynamics P/N 01-P40100G001. The General Dynamics' radios were selected on the recommendations of the Lead Engineer, Radio and Force Protection, based on their FAA Approval for Air Traffic Control and high reliability (fielded MTBF 200,000 hours, Rated MTBF 26,280 hours). These specific items integrate with the existing FAA architecture which is an essential minimum requirement.
