Description

FHWA is in need of a wetland mitigation plan for a property near Cando, ND. The project area includes approximately 280 acres in the south half of Section 1, T159N, R67W. This area consists of cultivated agricultural fields, CRP fields, and an old pasture area. Many of the wetlands located in the project area have been manipulated with surface drainages to increase plantable acreage. A Scope and Effect Determination has been completed. FHWA needs a firm to complete a wetland mitigation plan. Work shall consist of the following items: • Coordinate a topographic survey; • Prepare the wetland mitigation plan design and construction plans and specifications; and • Prepare a wetland mitigation plan report. The wetland mitigation report shall consist of the following items: •Introduction to the project •Wetland Impact Assessment of the Roads-Acting-as-Dams Project •Wetland Mitigation Strategy and Site Information •Mitigation Site Design •Plans and Drawings •Mitigation Ecological Benefits •Monitoring Plan •Mitigation Contingency Measures •References The first portion of the Mitigation Plan Report will be due September 15, 2009. The remaining items will be due October 31, 2009.
