Description
RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPURTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER MATOC CONTRACTS: W911SE-08-D-0006, W911SE-08-D-0007, AND W911SE-08-D-0008. SOW: Supply all labor, transportation, material, apparatus, tools, and permits necessary to design-build a replacement for an air-cooled chiller at building building 10000. 1.Remove and dispose of the two existing water-cooled chillers. Only one chiller shall be non-operational at a time. The first, new chiller will be installed and operational before the second chiller is brought down. 2.Provide (2) Trane Water-Cooled Chillers or approved equal per the Performance Data below and the following requirements: "Semi-Hermetic Direct Drive Rotary Screw Compressors. "Motor shall be suction gas cooled, hermetically sealed, two-pole, squirrel cage induction-type. "Microprocessor Based Temperature Controller that will provide chilled water temperature control and provide diagnostics. "Operator Interface shall be factory mounted on the door on the control panel and shall have an LCD touchscreen display for operator input. "Modification as needed to existing Building Management System to accommodate new chillers per original design. "Factory Mounted & Wired NEMA 1 Wye-Delta Starter with Circuit Breaker and Short Circuit Rating of 10,000 amps. "Voltage: 460-3-60 Single Point Power Connection with integral Control Power Transformer. "Chillers shall be factory insulated with Armaflex II or equal insulation (K=.28). "Refrigerant Isolation Valves to provide means of isolating the refrigerant charge in the condenser for servicing. "2-Pipe Evaporator Configuration. "2-Pipe Condenser Configuration with Marine Waterbox. "NEMA 1 Flow Switches for Field Installation on Evaporator & Condenser. "Neoprene Isolation Pads for Field Installation. "Chiller shall ship with full operating charge of oil & refrigerant. "(Bid as a separate line item) 5-Year Parts, Labor & Refrigerant Warranty by Unit Manufacturer. "Factory Start-Up by Factory Certified Technician. "Chillers shall ship with shrink-wrapped opaque plastic, with UV protection and rust inhibitor around entire unit. Recover the existing refrigerant charge. The R-134a refrigerant in these units will become property of the contractor upon removal. The contractor should provide a credit based on this, as part of this bid. 4.The chilled water supply and return piping shall be rerouted as needed to connect to the new chiller and shall include new control valves for chilled water and condenser water, thermometers and pressure gauges. New piping shall be insulated to match existing. The piping shall not obstruct maintenance access to any component. 5.The contractor shall demolish existing, pour new or modify existing equipment pads as needed to accommodate new chillers. 6.The contractor shall make arrangements for scheduled services and repairs by contacting Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Contract Management Branch (803-751-1069). The contractor shall submit a daily report of the previous days work to DPW, Contract Management Branch. 7.In scheduling work, the needs and conditions of the building user are paramount. The contractor shall coordinate work with the building user. Consideration should be made for not performing work of this nature during hot weather. 8.The new chiller shall be interlocked to the existing control system to operate as currently designed.
