- The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, 22448-5l00, plans to procure from Kitco Fiber Optics, Inc., 5269 Cleveland Street, Suite 109, Virginia Beach, VA 23462-6550 DUNS 965417702 on a sole source basis the following: Ten (10) Fiber Optic Damage Control Kits. Each kit contains the following items: (1 ea. Instruction Manual, 18 ea. ST Coupling Adapters, 2 packs of 18" Velcro Ties, 1 ea..18"-1.0" Jacket Stripper, 1 ea. Headband light, 1 ea. Pouch Lid, 1 ea. 3M Tool Roll, 1 pair Safety Glasses, 10 ea. Alcohol Pads, 1 ea. 6 chamber Plastic Box, 1 ea. Visual Fault Locator, 4 rolls of 100' Duplex MM Cable, 4 rolls of 100' Duplex SM Cable, 2 ea. 8-Furcation Unit 3'; 1ea. 8mm Tube Coupler, 1 ea. Black Permanent Marker, 1 ea. Damage Control Kit Case, 18 ea. Quick Connect Connectors ST Connectors-SM, 18 ea. Quick Connect Connectors ST Connectors-MM, 1 ea. Quick Connect Connector Toolkit.). All items shall be NEW and not refurbished. Order to include all shipping and handling charges and will be delivered to: Six (6) directly to Commander, Naval Air Forces Pacific, J. Terry/Michael Caldwell, Bldg. 11/Room 153, NAS North Island, San Diego, CA 92135-7051 and Four (4) directly to Commander, Naval Air Forces Atlantic, 79 Franklin Street, Bldg. N435, Attn. N435, Norfolk, VA 23511. There will be no written solicitation issued as a result of this notification. Please reference NSWC Request for Quote (RFQ) # N00178-09-Q-2135. Interested parties may submit their quotes/bids to the following: susan.staples@navy.mil. Because of the urgent nature of this notice, this request is expected to close on or about 24 August 2009, with award expected on/before 31 August 2009.
