- The Department of the Interior, National Business Center intends to negotiate a fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with Byres Research, Inc, Lantzville, British Columbia, Canada under Other than Full and Open competition by the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. This is a requirement for a Case Study Extension for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems including water acquisition, storage, and distribution, and sewage removal and treatment. A solicitation package will not be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider other responses received by 08/29/2009. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
