Description
This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice, U S Naval Hospital, Guam for a firm fixed price type contract for repair and replacement of a Four-Inch (4") Riser Detail on a Wet Type Fire Sprinkler System at two (2) different locations behind Building #4, U S Naval Hospital, Guam. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website: www.neco.navy.mil. Proposed contract procured utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Vendor must have Cage Code and Dun #. Must be register on Central Contracting Registration (CCR). Area of consideration is Guam contractors ONLY. PLEASE SEE STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) BELOW FOR DETAILS. US NAVAL HOSPITAL, GUAM FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT I.STATEMENT of WORK: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and incidental related work necessary for the Repair by Replacement of 4" Riser Detail on a Wet Type Fire Sprinkler System at two (2) Locations behind Buildings 4, U.S. Naval Hospital, Guam. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: a.Remove and dispose of corroded 4" whole riser detail system at both location. b.Replace the following component system at both location: •4" diameter alarm check valve F x F. •4" diameter check valve F x F. •4" diameter OS&Y Gate valve F x F. •AV-1-300 alarm trim kit vertical and horizontal mount with gauges and valves. •Water motor alarm gong. •Potter electric pressure switch. •Retard chamber with trimmings. •4" diameter x 12" L flex pipe connector. •1" Test drain valve and associated components. c.Prepare, prime and paint pipes to include supporting brackets to match existing. d.Clean up jobsite and dispose of debris. II.SPECIAL CONDITIONS: 1)Construction and procedures shall be in conformance with the latest OSHA & NFPA. 2)Other incidental work required includes any and all items and considerations necessary to insure a complete and usable final product, including, but not limited to, the necessary design and construction considerations not specifically stated elsewhere in this statement of work. Complete and usable final product means that the completed final product can be used to fully satisfy the requirements and the intended purpose of this project. 3)Any utility support/outages required accomplishing the repairs of the existing 4" Riser Detail on a Wet Type Fire Sprinkler System at two (2) Locations behind Buildings 4, U.S. Naval Hospital, Guam shall be scheduled and coordinated with the BOS Contractor and prior notification shall be made to Naval Hospital Facilities Management Department. Any Cost for Utility Support shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. III.REQUIRMENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD: 1)Pre-construction: Contractor will meet with the Facilities Management Department (FMD) representatives on elaborative efforts and means of the work or job to be accomplished. IV.CONTRACT WORK ACCEPTANCE: 1)The Facilities Contract Manager will perform a PRE-FINAL/quality assurance inspection. All discrepancies identified during pre-final will be re-worked and performed accordingly. 2)A FINAL INSPECTION will be performed, project cleared, and approved by Facilities Management Department before contractor is relieved from work or contracted job. ________________________________________ Point of Contact: Albert C.
