- Combined Solicitation/Synopsis Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Media Blasting Equipment General Requirements: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center Devens, located at 42 Patton Road, Ayer, Massachusetts is soliciting for the acquisition of sandblasting equipment. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 423830; the small business size standard is 100 employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation document incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-36. Description of Items: All items quoted must be brand name or equal 100HP Feed Unit with Whip (SJE-FE-100HP) 50ft, 1.25" I.D. whipline with deadman control, twinline, quick disconnect fittings and ½" (#8) blast nozzle; 4 wheel cart system. Dimensions: 115 x 74 x 127(cm) / 45 x 29 x 50 (in) Weight: Kg: 220 / Lb: 485 50', 1-1/4" I.D. Whipline (HP-WHIP-125) 15m (50') whipline consisting of 32mm (1.25") I.D., two-ply light weight blast hose including twinline, nozzle holder, coupling, fittings and deadman handle. #8 Wide Entry Venturi Nozzle (HP-NZ-8-WEV) #8 12.7mm (.5in) wide entry venturi. Light weight, proprietary composite blast nozzle; uses top wear grade material and thick wall construction; for use with 32mm(1.25in). Bore: ½", Length: 9", Thread style/material: NPS/brass included with feed unit. Blast Hose Extension Complete; 15m(50') (HP-BHEXT-32) 15m (50') Extension consisting of 32mm (1.25") I.D. two-ply light weight blast hose, twinline and fittings needed to connect to feed unit and whipline. 35-P Recycler (SJE-RE-35P) Pneumatic, compact and light weight recycler for use with feed units for preparing media for reuse. Silver 120 Sponge Media (13.6/30) (SJM-S-120) 3 pallets with approximate gross DIMS/wgt each: 48" x 40" x 60"/1,575 lbs (total gross:3,975 lbs). Evaluation Factors: The government intends to make an award on a all-or-none basis. Quotations will be evaluated and award will be based on the price, quality and overall best value to the Government. With your quote provide all specifications. Contractor must be able to deliver items no later than 30 days after receipt of purchase order. The Government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is most advantageous. The proposed price must include all associated charges, fees and delivery cost (FOB Destination). Submission of Quotations: Vendors will be required to submit the following information on company letterhead or business stationary directly to the contracting officer: 1) The request for quotation number (RFQ) 2) Schedule of items with pricing 3) Contractor Dunn & Bradstreet Number and Tax Identification Number 4) Offeror Representations and Certification Offers are due no later than September 5, 2009 at 2:00PM, local time. Offers received after this date may not be considered for award. Faxed or emailed offers will not be accepted. Anticipated date of award is on or about September 8, 2009.
