- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FAR 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set aside is applicable to this acquisition. THIS WILL BE A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The Cryptologic Systems Group, Lackland AFB, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the acquisition of the following items 1.SCOPE: This Statement of Work covers removal and replacement of the existing air compressor and air dryer system and the installation of new comparable systems for the Cryptologic Systems Group (CPSG) Maintenance Directorate (MA) located at 250 Hall Blvd Suite 215 San Antonio, Texas 78243. 2. REQUIREMENTS: This work specification establishes the minimum work requirements necessary to perform the removal/installation as specified. The contractor shall furnish all the necessary equipment, transportation cost, material, tools and labor to remove the old air compressor systems, start up the system, and test the new compressor system to be installed. The contractor shall be required to remove the old system and transport the old system to the Lackland AFB Recycling Center, Building 7390, Carswell Street, for disposal. Remove existing 10 horsepower duplex compressor/tank and air dryer. Install new 10 horsepower duplex air compressor/tank and air dryer. Connect all electrical and plumbing connections to new units. Controls shall be watertight to include Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled Motor (TEFC)Install new duplex gauge/regulator and connect two existing hose reels in paint shop room 208. Install new regulator/gauge station and connect existing hose reel in paint shop room #207.Install new gauge and adjust existing regulator on overhead piping in Paint shop room #208. 3.MAPA POC is Mr. Louie Medellin, 210-977-3164 or Mr. Eddie Dunn, 210-977-2640 for technical questions or to schedule site visit. Potential bidders will only be allowed one (1) site visit on 25 Aug 2009 @ 0900 which has to be coordinated with one of the above mentioned Points of Contact. Bldg 2058 is located in a secured environment, and all visitors will have to sign in and be escorted at all times during the site visit. Delivery requirements are 60 days After Receipt of Order. FOB Destination - Lackland AFB San Antonio TX; Inspection: Commercial Item Inspection FAR 52.212-4; Inspection/Acceptance - Destination; Packing/Packaging - Commercial; The following clauses are included in this Request for Quote by reference: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, The Government will no longer accept nor process hard copies of invoices/receiving reports. These documents must be generated electronically via the Wide Area Work Flow - Receipts and Acceptance. To be eligible for award, you must be properly registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the internet at www.ccr.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided with any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and /or award.
