Description
The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk is sponsoring an unclassified Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) conducted by the Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) for instructional support services in the delivery of Anti-terrorism/Naval Security Forces (NSF) training at each Fleet Concentrated Area (FCA) on 02 September 2009. The purpose of the event is to provide a status update of the Instructional Support Services, inform industry of program requirements, competition timeline, and to provide a Question & Answer/networking opportunity. The one day conference will be held on 02 September 2009, at The Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center, 2800 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451-1327 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Doors will open at 8:00AM EDT. The anticipated date of solicitation posting is December 2009 on NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil) with an anticipated award date of May 2010. Please note that these are only projected dates and may change. All are requested to monitor NECO, as this will be the only Government Point of Entry for all postings. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government. Industry Day Registration: Registration will be conducted in advance. Attendees are required to identify their nationality and their positions within the company they represent. This is a no-fee event and seating is limited. Please register by contacting Laurence Williams at laurance.williams@navy.mil by 1 September 2009. Also, please cc: Greg Finke at william.g.finke@navy.mil when e-mailing. Late registration and "walk-in" requests will not be permitted. Attendees must present a CURRENT photo ID (driver's license, military ID, company ID or passport) matching the attendee information submitted via the Registration Form to gain entry into the event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in.
