Description

RECOVERY - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requests proposals for Phase II, Rehabilitate Foot Trail at the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge located in Smyna, Delaware. This procurement is set aside for participants in the Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program. Offers will not be accepted from contractors that are not 8(a) certified. The work includes construction of four handicapped accessible boardwalks with a combined total of approximately 269 linear feet. The boardwalks shall be constructed on 6" x 6" posts. A handicapped accessible ramp 73 feet in length will be constructed at the beginning of the trail. Work will also include construction of a stone dust trail, provide and install four benches and associated handrail and deck. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237990. The solicitation package including technical specifications and drawings will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about September 9, 2009. Proposals will be due on October 14, 2009 by 4:00 pm (eastern standard time). A contractor must be registered at www.ccr.gov to receive a contract award. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply to this work.
