- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is 21-09-399QFS145 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13. ITEM 001: The Coast Guard Academy is seeking proposals for a new Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) high definition plasma metal cutting machine with an integrated water table, one (1) plasma cutter and one (1) Oxyfuel torch meeting the following requirements: Water table cutting area five (5) feet by 10 feet Three (3) axis drive system Plasma cutter must be able to cut from gauge size up to one (1) inch metal using Hypertherm HSD130 HySpeed cutter or equivalent Hyperthrem HSD130 gas manifold or equivalent Oxygen cylinder regulator 0-200 ps1 (0-14 bar), dual stage Nitrogen cylinder regulator 0-200 ps1 (0-14 bar), dual stage Argon-Hydrogen regulator 0-200 ps1 (0-14 bar), dual stage Nitrogen Hydrogen regulator 0-200 ps1 (0-14 bar), dual stage Oxy-fuel cutting torch must be able to cut up to 2-1/2 inch metal Oxygen regulator, 0-125 psi (0-9 bar), single stage (times 2) Fuel regulator, 0-125 psi (0-9 bar), single stage Panel mounted 15 inch flat panel TFT touch screen 60 Gigabyte or larger hard drive Intel 2.4 GHz, 512 Megabytes RAM CD-ROM/DVD and 1.44 Megabyte Floppy Drives 2.0 USB Ports, Parallel Port, RJ-45 Network Port and RS-232 Seriel Port Phoenix Motion Cortrol Software or equivalent MTC CAD/CAM Software NestMaster2, MTC ProNest 2010 or equivalent nesting package Computer software must be able to convert DXF files into machine code Plasma torch height control Plasma collision sensor Price must include shipping, set-up, 8 hours of on-site training, 1 year of technical support. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial item (Jan 2005). Only one (1) award will be made as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference IAW FAR 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998) and remain in full force in any resultant purchase order.
