- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Richmond, Virginia is seeking potential sources to provide on-site valet parking services to alleviate the parking problems experienced by our veteran patients at the facility. Approximately 1000-1200 outpatients are seen per day. There are an ample number of parking spaces to accommodate patients, staff, volunteers and visitors on any given day, but the concern for many, especially those veterans older and infirmed, is the distance from available parking to the building and then to the clinic. The need is for a contractor to park and/or provide assistance in parking to veteran patients with appointments as well as short term pharmacy pick-ups only, five days per week 7:30am 6pm. Additionally, there is a need for the contractor to maintain an inventory of wheelchairs that are used by patients attending appointments. The contractor will deliver these wheelchairs, upon patients or caretakers request, to the patient to facilitate patients travel from the car in the valet greeting area to the appointment and back to the car in the valet greeting area. The wheelchairs may be inside the facility front door, in the valet greeting area, outside the facility front door, or in the parking lot designated for valet-parked cars. The contractor will be completely liable and responsible for ticketing, securing keys, parking, delivering, and directing certain valet vehicles to and from the valet greeting area, for the period specified in accordance with all terms, conditions, schedules, provisions, and requirements of any solicitation and/or resultant contract. The VA is seeking potential sources to provide these services. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 812930, Standard size $7.0M. This is a sources sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of firm, size of business and any pertinent information which demonstrates firms ability to meet the above requirement. All responses shall be submitted in writing no later than August 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM, local time to ATTN: Faye Dillard (90C), VAMC, 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667. Fax number 757-728-3132. E-mail Faye.Dillard@med.va.gov.
