Description
The VA intends to purchase 4 patient stretchers (gurneys). This posting is a combined synopsis and solicitation and the VA is accepting quotes for these items as described below. Clauses that are applicable to this action include FAR clauses 52.212-4; 52.212-5; and VAAR clauses 852.203-70; 852.211-70; 852-211-73; 852-246-70. Vendors are requested to submit their best pricing and indicate whether it is "FSS Contract" pricing or "Open Market" pricing. If "FSS Contract" pricing is quoted, the contract number must be provided with the quote. Offers from vendors qualified in the following socio-economic groups will be considered in descending order: (1) SDVOSB; (2) VOSB; (3) Small Businesses. Award will be made to the vendor (SDVOSB first; VOSB second then Small Business third) offering a product that meets the following product specifications, can provide FOB Destination shipping and deliver the items no later than 30 calendar days after receipt of award. PATIENT STRETCHERS. Quoted stretchers must be brand name or equal to the Stryker Model #1025 (SM304) and must meet the following characteristics. The unit must be constructed in such a way that the amount of force necessary for moving and steering is reduced. It must also have an advanced maneuvering system for superior cornering. Features must include (at a minimum) (1) Motorized drive system, electric with retractable cord reel; (2) Weight capacity rating of 700 pounds: (3) Litter (patient) surface of 30"; (4) Width not to exceed 38" with the rails up; (5) Length not to exceed 86"; (6) Lift assist Backrest with hydraulic knee Gatch (30" surface); (7) Minimum height must be less than 23"; (8) Warranty must be minimum of 2 years; (9) Pressure reduction mattress, 5" thick and 30" wide; (10) Dual-end, side rail release; and (11) Additional Accessories: (a) Collapsible IV Pole; (b) Scale System w/Knee Gatch (30" surface); and (c) Transfer board (30" wide). Quotes must be received by the Contracting Officer no later than 11:00 p.m. on August 31, 2009. Quotes may be emailed to charlene.duncan@va.gov (preferred) or faxed to 509-527-3473. Quotes from all responsive and responsible SDVOSB; VOSB and Small Business firms will be considered for award.
