- ABL-90680 RFQ Notice to Offerors This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for DRYDOCK repairs to be performed at the successful contractors facility. The performance period will be September 15, 2009 through December 01, 2009. The NOAA R/V NAUVOO is 49'10" with a 17' beam; Draft - design of 5'6", and displacement of 38LT. Vessel is currently located in Highlands, NJ for viewing. DryDock Basic Items: ITEM NO. 301 - HAUL OUT AND HULL WORK - Required ITEM NO. 302 - FORE PEAK COMPARTMENT PAINTING - Required ITEM NO. 303 - BILGE RUST SPOT PRESERVATION & PAINTING - Required ITEM NO. 304 - LAZERETTE COMPARTMENT OVERHEAD PAINTING - Required ITEM NO. 305 - RECONDITION PROPPELLERS - Required I ITEM NO. 306 - INSTALL DRAIN AND COAT CENTER STERN VOID - Required ITEM NO. 307 - KEEL COOLER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - Required ADDITIONAL/OPTIONAL WORK ITEMS ADDITIONAL WORK - LABOR, EST. 40 HOURS ADDITIONAL WORK - MATERIALS All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications and referenced NOAA standards which can be seen as described here: R/V Nauvoo will be available for ship viewing during the solicitation process. Interested vendors are highly encouraged to attend a site visit at which time they can inspect the vessel, prior to bidding, at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Marina, 100 First Ave., Atlantic Highlands, NJ. Interested vendors will need to contact Lt Jason Saxe, 732 872-3095, to schedule. Interested vendors can also view all blueprint diagrams, and referenced materials etc. at this time. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on www.fbo.gov. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. A firm-fixed price order will be issued with an anticipated award date of September 11, 2009.
