Description
This project is a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Project documents will be available on the web only. Downloads are available through the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/) The Little Rock District Corps of Engineers has a requirement to repair concrete piers at David D. Terry Lock and Dam. The work will take place on the Mcclellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System at navigation mile 108.1 in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The Project shall include, but not be limited to: Drilling exploratory core holes Recovery and storage of sequenced and oriented core samples Down-hole imaging of the interior of exploratory core holes, as required Surveying, videoing and mapping of underwater cracks Patching of cracks Drilling holes for anchors Perform water pressure testing and consolidation grouting Drill test cores to verify penetration and overall quality of crack repairs and grouting. Installation and testing of anchors Install anchor protective covers, twenty-two locations Document as-built conditions for each of three piers The David D. Terry Project consists of a 110-foot-wide by 600-foot-long navigation lock and a gated spillway with eighteen 60-foot-wides by 27-foot-high tainter gates. The concrete spillway piers have numerous cracks resulting from Alkali-Silica Reactivity (ASR). Eleven exploratory core holes and twenty-two anchors are to be installed in eleven piers. The anchors and exploratory holes are to be installed from downstream side of the piers.
