Description

NEW BID DATE: September 2, 2009 @ 2:00 p.m. Bids must be submitted to the following address: USDA, ARs, Mids South A?rea, Procurement Office, 141 Experiment Station Road, P. O. Box 225, Stoneville, MS 38776-0225. Clarification to specification: Question: We have an RFI on the collateral loads, (See 13 34 19 Page 6 1.2.1.5) Most buildings are ser4viced by 3-5 lbs. PSF AUX. Load which handles lights, spk. and HVAC plus ceiling. this bldg. is taxing the limits w/ a 40 ft. bay already. Is there some other aspect why this loading is here? Can we get back to dead load being the wt. of the meal building plus a 5 lbs. PSF AUX. Load? Answer: The building roof loads should at a minimum meet the requirements of the governing codes (2006 IBC), i.e. snow (10 pounds per square foot), wind (90 MPH), and rain (as calculated using IBC Section 1610) loads. The aux load at 5 pounds per square foot is good.
