Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 19, intends to solicit sources to provide all equipment, reagents, standards, controls, supplies, consumable/disposable items, parts, accessories and any other item required for the proper operation of its' contractor owned analyzers and peripherals necessary for the generation of hemoglobin A1c testing and thalassemia/hemoglobinopathy screening instrumentation and cost per reportable result (CPRR) services on behalf of the Eastern Colorado VA Health Care System (ECHCS), 1055 Clermont Street, Denver, CO 80220, Pueblo, CO, VA Montana Healthcare System, and the Sheridan, WY VA. Analyzers are instruments for the testing of specific parameters of blood for hemoglobin A1c testing and thalassemia/hemoglobinopathy screening by HPLC methodology. Supplies and services are required for a base year and four option years. This acquisition will be conducted through competition between current FSS contract holders. The NAICS Code is 334516 with a size standard of $6.5 million. All proposals received by September 9, 2009 will be considered by VA. A determination based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of VA. Solicitation VA-259-09-RQ-0394 has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract.
