Description
Request for quote w/ statement of work included (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1M3T49204AQ01 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36, effective 11 Aug 09. (iv) This acquisition is set-aside for small business. The associated NAICS code is 811310 with a $7 million size standard. (v) Contractors shall submit a lump sum quote for replacing and calibrating a load sense system on Grove Industrial 8.5 ton crane, Model #: AP308, Serial #: 77917. All repairs and calibration will be performed at Charleston AFB, SC. A site visit will be conducted on 01 September 2009 at 10:00AM EST. All contractors shall meet at the Dorchester Rd. visitor center, Charleston AFB, on 01 September 2009 no later than 9:45AM. Contact SSgt William Cohen at 843-963-3327, or by email at william.cohen@charleston.af.mil no later than 28 August 2009 with the names of all who plan to attend the site visit. Attendees are required to bring a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and current proof of insurance to get on base. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. See attached RFQ for list of CLINs and SOW. (vi) Contractors shall install and calibrate a new load sense system including all necessary wiring and mounting hardware to match original factory system on Grove Industrial Crane, model #: AP308 on Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. (See attached statement of work) (vii) Offerors should provide their best delivery schedule when submitting their quotation package. (viii) The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award: (full text of clauses and provisions may be accessed electronically at this website: http://farsite.hill.af.mil) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial. (ix) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items Evaluation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1.Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement. 2. Price- The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes or the total price for the requirement.
