Description: Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to the American Red Cross for blood and blood products. Contractor shall transport all standing orders scheduled for delivery (two deliveries per week) and quantity may change to increase efficiency and ensure good inventory management practice at no additional charge to the Government. Blood and blood products are to be delivered in suitable containers, F.O.B. destination to the Veteran Administration Maryland Health Care System, Baltimore (VAMHCS-Baltimore), 10 N. Greene Street, Baltimore MD 21201. It has been determined that the Baltimore Office of the American Red Cross is the only available supplier capable of meeting both the supply and delivery specifications of this requirement.
