Description
RFQ For Information Only This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under GSA IDIQ Construction Tier 1, Zone 1 for Arizona. Work Location: 1st floor south end 230 N. 1st Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85003 Project: Recovery FB-Window replacement The contractor shall provide all necessary material, labor, and supervision to replace the existing plexy glass windows with quarter inch temper glass on the 1st floor at 230 N. 1st Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85003. Scope of Work REMOVAL: 1.The contractor will remove the old plexy glass windows and dispose of them. 2.The contractor will scrap old molding and clean and prep opening for new glass windows. NEW: 1.The contractor will furnish 30 new quarter inch windows to replace existing. These windows shall match existing windows standards of the building. (Temper Glass) 2.The contractor will install (12) 36” X 51” windows and (18) 54” X 51” windows on the east side of the 1st floor of the building using standard building practices. 3.The contractor will be responsible for any drywall repairs that may occur during replacement of windows. Painting of drywall repairs will also be done by contractor. Paint shall match existing in both color and sheen. 4.The contractor will coordinate with GSA on work to be scheduled for after hours if needed. 5.The contractor will make sure that the windows are sealed to prevent drafts or water penetration. 6.The contractor will meet all applicable OSHA codes for windows install. The finished build out shall be equal in the quality of both products and workmanship of the building standard. This build out shall include if applicable, but not limited to: demolition, install, dry wall, painting, weather proofing. All work is to be performed in accordance with all applicable codes and trade practices. Safety Contractor is required to submit safety plans for Government approval prior to the start of work. At a minimum all contractors should be required to conduct and document at least one safety meeting prior to the start of any work addressing safety issues pertinent to the project. Larger/complex projects may require weekly or daily safety meetings depending upon the situation, and perhaps written procedures for certain aspects of the work. In such cases, contractors need to identify the applicable OSH requirements for the work being accomplished and have a written plan for compliance. 1.The contractor shall coordinate the project and all involved parties. 2.The contractor shall not interrupt the daily activities of the building tenants. 3.The contractor shall maintain a job file and conduct a final inspection for acceptance. 4.The contractor shall follow up any punch list items to insure compliance. 5.The contractor shall leave the affected areas in a neat and clean fashion during and upon completion of work. 6.The contractor shall meet with GSA and Agency for pre-construction meeting. 7.The contractor shall submit a schedule for GSA or agency approval before starting work. 8.The contractor shall not start work until a written “Notice to Proceed” is issued by GSA. 9.The contractor shall finish work in accordance with contract schedule. Security Clearance Prior to start of work the contractor shall submit a background clearance information form for all employees that will require access to government owned space. Contract employees determined to be unsuitable will not be allowed access to the work site. Warranty The contractor shall warrant all parts and labor for a period of one year from date of acceptance, unless manufacturer warranty provides additional coverage’s.
