- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and as a supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation is attached to this announcement. The solicitation number is HSCG23-09-R-00E001 and is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110. The purpose of this solicitation is to provide U. S. Coast Guard, PCAF, Pascagoula, MS with quality temporary lodging for U. S. Coast Guard personnel located at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, 1000 Access Road, Pascagoula, MS 39567. The offeror shall make available up to an estimated 30 single occupancy and 45 double occupancy rooms for U. S. Coast Guard personnel. The period of performance which the hotel will be occupied is approximately 9 September 2009 for a period 90 days. The date of vacating the hotel is dependent upon delivery of a new Coast Guard ship to crew. During the period of performance, unexpected delays may arise from the process of designing new ships and problems which may extend the stay longer than the expected 90 days. Information received will be used to evaluate offeror capabilities. The deadline for this proposal is 12:00 pm, EST, 31 August 2009. As a result of this solicitation a Firm Fixed Price Contract per room with a base period of 1 September 2009 – 31 August 2010, with four follow-on options. The following clauses apply to this acquisition, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. The following provisions apply, 52.212-1 and 52.212-3. The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation – Commercial Items applies and the Government will select the offer for award which represents the Best Value proposal to the USCG. Best value will be determined based on price and technical capability. The Government reserves the right to require site visits of contractor’s facility meets, at a minimum the requirements of two stars (**) for a Mobil Travel Guide rating or two diamonds for an American Automobile Association rating.
