- THESE IS AN REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government. The US Department of Veterans Affairs Employee Education System is conducting a market research as part of its plan to improve business processes and practices when acquiring hotel services. For this purpose we are requesting interested parties to provide us with information in reference to the organization and manner of hotel chains and the role of their national accounts offices.Please provide information on your organization's policies and operational capabilities in the following areas. 1.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties in or near large metropolitan areas and major national airports; and that accept government rate or below for groups with sleeping room blocks ranging in size from 25 to 250 per night. 2.Provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties within 24 hours of an initial request for quote3.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties with meeting space availability, including general session room and breakout meeting room dimensions and floor plans that illustrate columns and other physical characteristics4.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties that can house an adequate meeting environment to include acceptable meeting room temperature, comfortable seating and quiet environment. (noise control)5.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties in reference to standard security/safety plan measures in case of emergency6.Provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties in reference to their sub-contracting practices and capabilities on any of their operations and services7.Provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties in reference to their structure's Americans with Disabilities Act compliance8.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties that may offer spot discounts/quantity discounts per program requirement based on the size and complexity of service request/call9.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties on availability of catering services to include food and beverage fixed prices, gratuities and other service fees10.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties on availability of audiovisual/event technology services to include rental fixed prices, gratuities and other service fees11.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties on their billing arrangements that may include availability of customized invoicing and other billing requests12.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties on group cancellation and attrition policies13.Accommodate and provide information/responses from multiple affiliated properties on size, general service resources and industry standard classification (e.g. star rating)All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government. The response date for this market research is by 4:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. No calls will be accepted.
