The horns/antennas are used for pattern testing and simulation threat testing. The requirement of items and services are outline as follows: 1) Provide 2 - 6 GHz Diagonal Horn Quantity: 5 each Description: 2 - 6 GHz Diagonal Horns Model Number: FR6415-LF Connector: Type N Mfg Part Number: FR6415-LF Frequency (Nominal): 2 - 6 GHz Gain: 2.0 GHz.17 dBi, 4.0 GHz. 20 dBi, 6.0 GHz. 19 dBi (all 3 gains proposed estimates) 3dB Beamwidth (nominal): 2.0 GHz. 18 to 20 degrees, 4.0 GHz. 20 degrees, 6.0 GHz. 16 degrees (all 3dB Beamwidths proposed estimates) Sidelobes: 30 dB VSWR: 1:5 Typical and a goal of 2:1 maximum Isolation (minimum): 60 dB Weight: 12.0 lbs estimated Flare must be detachable to accomplish a wider Beamwidth Antenna must handle 200 Watts CW input The mounting flange design of the FR6415 standard antenna must be used to be compatible with customers existing antenna mounts Dimensions: A - 10.30 inches Times 1.5 (Scale up) Horn Aperture = 10.30"x10.30" x 1.5 B - 24.70 inches Times 1.5 (Scale up) Horn overall length C - 11.0 inches Times 1.5 (Scale up) Detachable Flare length D - 13.7 inches Times 1.5 (Scale up) Horn with Transition length The FR6415-LF is a scale-up of the existing Orbit FR6415-SP1 Range Illumination Horn 2) A one-time "design and test" non-recurring engineering to be accomplished on the 2 - 6 GHz Diagonal Horn Antennas. This engineer effort refers to the dimensions listed above. 3) Provide 6.5 - 18 GHz Chamber Illumination Horn Quantity: 7 each Description: 6.5 - 18 GHz Chamber Illumination Horn Model Number: FR6414 Connector: Type N Mfg Part Number: FR6414-SP1 Frequency (Nominal): 6.5 - 18 GHz Gain: 22 dBi 3dB Beamwidth (nominal): 14 degrees Sidelobes: 30 dB VSWR: 2:1 maximum Isolation (minimum): 60 dB Weight: 6.5 lbs Flare must be detachable to accomplish a wider beamwidth Antenna must handle 200 Watts CW input The mounting flange design of the FR6414 standard antenna must be used to be compatible with customers existing antenna mounts Dimensions: A - 8.25 inches Horn Aperture = 8.25"x8.25" B - 24.80 inches Horn overall length C - 17.6 inches Detachable Flare length D - 7.2 inches Horn with Transition length 4) TESTING of TWO FR-6415-LF Horns - STATEMENT OF WORK 1.0 Description of Services - Testing of Two Horns 1.1 Introduction This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirement for the contractor to test two FR-6415 LF horn antennas for the 412th Electronic Warfare Group, Edwards AFB, CA. 1.2 Scope a. The contractor shall perform the following tests on two FR-6415 LF-SP1 horn antennas in both a highly directive beam pattern (fully flared) and a broad beam pattern (de-flared): 1. Co-polarization and cross-polarization antenna patterns (principal planes) 2. Frequency range 2 to 6 GHz, with testing occurring every 100MHz The FR-6415-LF is a scale-up of the existing model FR-6415-SP1. Only two of the new FR-6415-LF antennas will be required to be tested. b. Results shall include both fully flared and de-flared patterns and gain data as requested in paragraph 1.2.a.2 above. c. VSWR testing specified at 2.0:1 typical and 3.0: Maximum d. Testing shall take place at Villanova University of Pennsylvania and will be coordinated with the AFFTC Contracting Officer's Technical Representative shown in paragraph 1.3.1. 1.3 Program Management 1.3.1 Task Management The contractor shall notify the AFFTC Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), James Bartley at 661-277-3948, in a timely manner concerning any issues that would adversely impact the contractor's inability to meet and satisfy the requirements of this SOW.
