Description
The FAA intends to award a single-source contract to Sycamore Networks for the installation and turn-up of two government provided IAB3000 channel-banks in the Pasco and Wallula, Washington areas with work commencing approximately September 15, 2009, using the following Statement of Work: Install, turn-up, and program two Sycamore IAB3000 channel banks: one located at Pasco TRACON and one channel bank located at Wallula RCAG. The installation and tune up will include the following:Mount channel banks in FAA provided racks.Turn-up, program, and test the FAA provided IAB3000 Sycamore channel banks with latest version of test software and procedures.Contractor to provide and run cable, and terminate to FAA provided 66-blocksContractor to label channel banks, cable, and 66-blocks.Contractor to leave the IAB300 system fully operational and ready to accept service.Contractor to ground equipment to provided rack-ground bus.Contractor to connect equipment to provided fuse panel.Contractor to provide necessary training to FAA technicians. The FAA to provide - 48VDC power, in-rack grounding bus, channel banks, channel bank cards, mounting racks, cable trays, 66-blocks.The channel banks receive timing over the Harris/FAA T1 delivered to the channel banks. This is a Small Business Set-Aside Procurement and limited to firms with annual average receipts of less than $25M, using NAICS 517919. The purpose of this Market Survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from other vendors that can provide this service. To be qualified, vendors must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with Sycamore Networks equipment, spare parts on hand to repair the government furnished equipment due to unforeseen circumstances in the field, and the capability to commence work by September 15, 2009. Interested parties should provide the following: a. Capabilities Statement (Limited to three (3) pages) - A capabilities statement that describes your company's ability to provide the work described in the SOW b. Prior Experience: This section should include relevant current or previous experience with similar Sycamore Networks equipment that includes not more than three contracts for the same or similar services completed within the last five years or still ongoing. c. Price Estimate: This section should allow for the relatively short mobilization time and resources required by the SOW.
