- FOR THIS PROCUREMENT, IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT COMPETITION WILL BE LIMITED TO, 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SBA MISSISSIPPI DISTRICT OFFICE, WHICH HAVE THE NAICS CODE 237990 AMONG THOSE APPROVED FOR 8(a) PARTICIPATION. ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OFFERS. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing eighteen (18) riser pipe grade control structures in Desoto County, Mississippi. Principle features of work include clearing and grubbing, excavation, fill, backfill, control of water, engineering fabric, stone protection, corrugated metal pipe, reforestation, topsoil, fertilizer, seeding, mulching, lime treatment, welding, concrete work, granular courses, hot mix asphalt pavement, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The value of the proposed work is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check often for changes (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about June 30, 2009. Bid opening date on or about August 4, 2009. This procurement is restricted to certified 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SBA MISSISSIPPI DISTRICT OFFICE.
