- DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR (DOI)PRESOLICITATION NOTICE OF ON CALL SMALL HELICOPTER SPECIFICATIONS INTRODUCTION The Department of the Interior (DOI), National Business Center, Aviation Management (DOI-NBC-AM) is releasing a presolicitation notice of the DOI's 2010 proposed specifications for its on call small helicopter solicitation. PURPOSE OF SPECIAL NOTICE NBC-AM is extending the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed 2010 proposed solicitation specifications for the DOI on call small helicopter solicitation to be issued. Comments received will be treated confidentially but will be accumulated and will assist the DOI prepare its final on call small helicopter solicitation. Comments only, will be summarized and subsequently posted to include the Government's position relative to the comment(s) received. DESCRIPTION OF INFORMATION REQUESTED All commercial rotary wing companies actively seeking business opportunities as defined by NAICS code 481211 are invited to provide comments and or suggestions relative to the proposed 2010 on call small helicopter specification document. Comments submitted need to identify 1)The solicitation clause number;2)Your comment or suggestion relative to the clause identified; and3) Any recommended solution, if applicable for the comment made. DISCLAIMER >This solicitation specification document is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. No formal solicitation exists.>This release does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals or a Request for Quotations. At this time DOI is not looking for proposals and will return if possible, any submittal that has the qualities of a proposal, offer or bid. >Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice and may provide their submittal anonymously to ensure privacy. >Suggestions and comments received may or may not be subsequently included in the final solicitation to be issued. >This proposed specification may not be the final specification when the solicitation is issued. Responses must be returned no later than September 30, 2009. The actual solicitation is projected for issuance during mid October 2009.
