- The Phoenix VA Health Care System, 650 E Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012 intends to negotiate with KCI, on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) for the following mattress requirement 198 ea KCI Atmosair APOD25 with S.A.T. with 25 self adjusting air pods, non interruptible power, 500 lb weight limit. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 423450. The Government intends to award to only one source Kinetic Concepts Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This specific mattress is available exclusively through the manufacturer. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than September 3, 2009 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to richard.stockton@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will normally be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document is currently available.
