Description
The USDA Forest Service, Payette National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the following services: McCall Biomass Stewardship. The objectives of this project are to chip and remove landing piles created by past timber harvest activities in the area. It is estimated to create 2595 tons of Biomass for green fuel facilities in the area. The project is located in the New Meadows Ranger District to the southeast of McCall, ID. The legal description is T 17 N, R 4 E, Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27; T 17 N, R 5 E, Sections 7, 18, 19, 20, 29, and 30, Boise Meridian County, Idaho. The Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation for this project utilizing FAR Part 12 procedures for commercial contracting. This acquisition is available for full and open competition amongst all responsible offerors. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the best value based upon the evaluation factors provided in the solicitation. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act of 1965. This solicitation will be available on or about September 11, 2009. The period of performance for this project is (approx) 3 years from the date of contract award, which is anticipated to be on or about October 20, 2009. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the bidder will render a bidder ineligible for award.
