- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33 and DFARS change notice 20090115. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code 327215 applies to this procurement. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is being issued as a 100% small business set-aside for commercial items, and will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, equipment materials and incidentals necessary to remove 17 pairs of existing interior office wood double doors (approximately 31 3/4" w x 84" H each and both doors have an overlap lip that is cut into each door that prevents them from being forced open or broken into) from the first floor of building 9225. Using existing door frame (opening is 64" x 84" and 1 ¾" thick), contractor shall install 17 new pairs of wide stile doors in bronze finish glazed with ¼" clear tempered glass. One pair of doors will be fabricated to meet the American Disability Act (ADA) requirements (36" x 84"), while the remaining door opening will have a 28" x 84" fixed glass. Contractor shall use existing hardware removed from the 17 pairs of doors unless otherwise not compatible with new doors. If this is the case then the contractor will include price for hardware in quote. If the existing hardware is not used, each door set will include one individual cylinder lock with door knob/handle, keyed separately. Does not include master key lock cylinders and perimeter caulk for fixed glass. FOB: Destination. Delivery to 37 TRSS/DORP, 1220 Truemper Dr. bldg 9225, Lackland AFB TX 78236. The Government required completion of work is 30 days after receipt of order. Price will include delivery/transportation cost. Quote must be valid for 60 days. Offeror must quote on all or none basis. Written quotes are required (oral offers will not be accepted). Submission of quotes must be in accordance with FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and provides the best value to the Government. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers (1) Price and (2) Technical Acceptability. Technical acceptability is defined as an offer of supplies that completely satisfy all the salient characteristics of the seventeen wide stile doors in bronze finished glazed with ¼" clear tempered glass. Offer will be evaluated on prices inclusive of transportation charges from shipping points to delivery destination.
