- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for providing personnel management, and any other items and services, not Government furnished, necessary to perform the custodial service in accordance with the terms and conditions indicated in the statement of work, attached to the solicitation. This acquisition will be conducted as an Acquisition of Commercial Items/Services in accordance with FAR Part 12 in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation evaluation and award under FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small businesses. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract with a base year beginning 1 Oct 2009 through 30 Sep 2010, with four one-year option periods. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561720 Janitorial services and the Small Business Size Standard is $16.5M.
