- This is a notice of intent to place an order with Optimized Systems and Solutions (US) LLC, on a sole source basis for Service/Repair support coverage for JetSCAN instrument system to support the 162nd Fighter Wing, Arizona Air National Guard. Item to be acquired is: One-year Service/Repair support coverage for JetSCAN instrument system Jet50-61 to include the Scanning Electron Microscope/Energy Dispersement X-Ray. The period of performance will be from 1 October 2009 to 30 September 2010. No award will be made solely on the basis of this notice since a synopsis of intent to place an order cannot be considered a request for proposals/offers. Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether bona fide competition exists and whether a request for quote is appropriate. No solicitation/quote documents exist and no telephone inquires will be accepted. Written responses, if applicable, prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the requirement, must be received by this office within 7 calendar days after this notice. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, an order will be placed with the above named vendor. A quote will not be considered an affirmative response.
