Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 28 August 2009 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-09-R-0100 On or about 21 September 2009, this office will issue Request for Proposal for design and construction of the Expand Ambulatory Care, VA Medical Center, PN 442-209, Cheyenne, WY. The solicitation will close on or about 26 October 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SERVICE DISABLED, VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit has been scheduled for 1 October 2009 at 0830 hours (local time). Contractors interested in inspecting the site should contact the Ellsworth AFB Resident Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 2149 Scott Drive, Ellsworth AFB, SD 57706 Telephone: (605) 923-2983; Fax: (605) 923-2558; e-mail: Dwight.D.Pochant@usace.army.mil. All inquiries for registration should be made a minimum of 7 work days in advance of the scheduled site visit to coordinate base access and place of assembly. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description (Approx. quantities) Design and construct a 22,000 SF new addition for cardio-pulmonary (including sleep labs) and primary care clinics. The addition will be a one-story facility, steel structure with brick exterior, flat roof with clay tile mansard on the exterior and enclosed mechanical penthouse on the roof. Scope includes the design and construction of all associated mechanical, electrical, fire protection, communications, and associated medical utilities. Exterior site work, parking, and all associated utility connections are included. The building design and construction shall comply with all VA design and construction criteria and specifications. The estimated construction cost of this project is between 5 and 7.5 million dollars. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the design, design reviews and construction work within 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
