- MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Cherokee County, Kansas SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands through the Wetlands Reserve Program in Cherokee County, Kansas. Work is as detailed in the plans and specifications and includes earthfill (dike), excavation (equipment rate), Water Control Structure, 2’ tall, Pipe, 8” SDR 35 PVC, grass seeding (dike), and mulching (dike). QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 10,500 cubic yards of earthfill, 20 hours of excavation, installing nine water control structures, 220 lin. ft. Pipe, 8” SDR 35 PVC, 23.4 acres of grass seeding, 23.4 acres of mulching. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 53 work days, assuming 10 hour work-days and 5 day work-weeks. Tentative dates for: 1) solicitation packet is September 15, 2009, bid opening on October 15, 2009. Prospective contractors must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
