- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The 45th Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis with Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc., 10707 Gilroy Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21031. The primary objective of this effort is to fabricate and deliver five Power Conditioning Units: four 20-watt units and one 50-watt unit originally developed by Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc more than thirty years ago. This requirement is considered noncommercial in nature and any resultant contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15. The contract period of performance will be eight months from the date of award. The required services are available from only one source with the unique capabilities to manufacture these replacement units to the same form, fit, and function specifications as the original units. Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc. is the sole developer and maintainer of the Power Conditioning Units and currently possesses the sole experience and technical capabilities. The sole source acquisition is justified under FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This acquisition will be conducted on an unrestricted basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334513. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received prior to the closing date of this notice.
