- Description
- This Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) announcement constitutes a SOURCES SOUGHT notice. Lackland Air Force Base, Texas has a future requirement for FREIGHT ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT SERVICES. Service will include, but are not limited to replacement of one (1) each complete elevator cart and associated hardware. The existing elevator (Montgomery Elevator Company, Serial Number C10049) was manufactured in 1941. Requirement will be solicited during September 2009 and must meet the following minimum specifications: Rated capacity - 5,000 lbs; Total Weight of Car and Safeties - 4,750 lbs; Ultimate Strength of Cable - 138,000lbs; Speed - 100 ft per minute (fpm); Total Number of Cables - Six (6); and Electric Motor - 20 HP. This requirement will be issued against Standard Industrial Classification Code - 1796, NAICS code - 238290, and the related Small Business Standard - $14,000,000. The performance period will be 120 calendar days after receipt of award. This notice is for announcement only and serves to provide interested parties an opportunity to respond to the agency's requirements. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP); nor does its issuance restrict the Government in its ultimate acquisition. All questions or responses to this announcement shall be directed to the Contract Specialist, Kelly Martin, at kelly.martin-01@lackland.af.mil not later than Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.
